TPEx continues to assist TPEx Main Board companies、emerging stock board companies and investors to postpone shareholders’ meeting

In response to prevent Covid-19 needs and the government’s measures, on 20 May 2021, TPEx has stated that TPEx Main Board companies and emerging stock board companies shall suspend the convening of a shareholders’ meeting, from 24 May to 30 June 2021 and postpone their shareholders’ meetings to dates between 1 July and 31 August 2021. Therefore, the listed companies that unable to hold shareholders’ meeting within six months after the end of the fiscal year also exempt from the application of penalties such as altered trading method of the securities.

In addition to sending letters and emails to notify above companies, TPEx also provides Q&A and continues to pay attention to related issues as well as update Q&A at any time. At the top of the homepage of TPEx website (https://www.tpex.org.tw/web/) has a “ticker” for companies and investors to click on.

TPEx reminds investors that although above companies postpone their shareholders’ meetings, all matters that should be handled before the meeting are carried out in accordance with the schedule on the date of the “original” shareholders’ meeting, and do not affect the rights and interests of the shareholders listed in the shareholder register of the “original” shareholders’ meeting. Moreover, the electronic voting period of investors has not changed. Please use electronic communications to exercise shareholder rights to reducing gathering opportunities and reducing risks, it can also implement shareholder activism.
