Taipei Exchange (TPEx) has partially amended” Taipei Exchange Procedures for Verification and Disclosure of Material Information of Companies with TPEx Listed Securities” in order to improve regulation of material information disclosure.

TPEx indicates that statement announced by TPEx listed companies should be consistent with material information published on Market Observation Post System (MOPS). TPEx listed companies are not allowed to announce statement contains descriptions that are exaggerated or that resemble advertising or commercial. Also, the companies should not arbitrarily publish unconfirmed news or discloses information that diverges from fact. In addition, when TPEx listed companies hold or attend related institutional investors conferences, it is required for the companies to publish material information and disclose relevant information on MOPS.
