TPEx reminds investors to watch out for risks of virtual assets transaction and scams
Date: 2022-10-18
The price of virtual assets fluctuates significantly. Taipei Exchange (TPEx) warns that most virtual assets are lack of regulation authority in Taiwan and with high volatility characteristics.
Due to the increase of virtual assets investment recently, and more and more sophisticated scams techniques/types, TPEx warns that some trading platforms claim that they offer high investment returns, and attract investors to put their money in virtual assets. However, when investors withdraw their money, they suffer from great loss due to the price decline of virtual assets, or find they have been scammed after realizing the company operating the trading platform disappeared.
TPEx warns investors to be on the alert for the safety of their own properties and call “165” anti-deception counseling hotline when noticing virtual assets frauds.
