Development of Sustainable Bond Market in Taiwan
To develop sustainable financing and to cooperate with the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), the TPEx established a green bond market in 2017. After achieving a success of the green bond market, the TPEx established the sustainability bond market, the social bond market and the sustainability-linked bond (SLB) market on October 2020, April 2021 and July 2022 respectively. Now, the sustainable bond market includes green bond, social bond, sustainability bond and the SLB market, and the TPEx will keep providing more investment tools and financing platforms for ESG.

- 3/20TPEx garnered "Green Bond Pioneer Exchange introducing new listing guidelines in 2017" Recognition.

- 5/25Joint Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) as a member.
2018
- 1/19Established the mechanism for green financial asset securitization.
- 11/6Hosted the "2019 Taipei Green Bond International Conference."
- 12/16The outstanding amount of green bonds in Taiwan was more than 100 billion TWD.
2019
- 7/1Established the mechanism for green Sukuk and expand the use of proceeds.
- 10/6Launched the "Taipei Exchange Operational Directions for Sustainability bonds" and established the sustainability bond market.
- 10/23Setting up the sustainable bond market website.
